I grew up in Sonoma, California, and then moved to Oregon for school. I graduated from The University of Oregon with a BFA in Painting. After living and going to school in Eugene, Oregon, I moved to Portland, where I showed my drawings and paintings at The Blackfish Gallery, Gallery 114, Urbino, The Spot! and coffee shops and restaurants.
I started doing pet portraits in Bend, Oregon, and have been doing them for people ever since. My wife, Natacha and I currently live in Errington, B.C. We have two good dogs, Zadie and Oscar.

I love doing new and different breeds of dogs and cats. Generally, I work from photographs you provide, and as I start working on the painting, I try to send photograps of the work in progress. I don't require deposits for my work, as when the painting is completed, you have the option of purchasing it, or, if you're not totally satisfied with the painting, it can go into my personal portfolio. My pet portraits can be any size, (The prices below are guidelines) and I work on either stretched canvas or masonite.
I stretch my own canvas over birch stretcher bars and then the finished painting is framed in solid red cedar with your choice of stain.
The prices for your pet on canvas are :
12" x 12": $325     16" x 16": $475     20" x 20": $650
I also do smaller, unframed paintings on gessoed masonite
The prices for your pet on masonite are :
8" x 8": $250     10" x 10": $275     12" x 12": $300
